Getting Started & Functionality
When opening Tremolo Viola for the first time, all values will be set to their default state.
To enable functions such as wave-shaping, you will need to click the “SHAPE” button. Or the “SYNC” button to enable BPM syncing to your DAW.
Certain controls in Tremolo Viola interact with each other, for example if you enable the “SYNC” option, you will not be able to manually adjust the rate dial any longer, and will have to use the interval selection found above the “SYNC” button.
The “RATE” control allows you to change the speed in Hz of the tremolo wave, use the “SYNC” button to quickly sync to your DAW BPM.
If in “SYNC” mode, use the interval selection above the “SYNC” button to select the desired interval to run your tremolo at (you are able to select the interval either by the arrow keys beside the selection, or by clicking into it and selecting your desired option).
“DEPTH” allows you to control the intensity of the audio modulation from the tremolo, altering how much will the amplitude be affected.
“WAVE OFFSET” lets you control the position of the modulation wave on the x-axis, use this find interesting rhythms created through the tremolo.
“MIX” this is a wet/dry control which allows control of how much of the modulated versus dry signal is heard.
Underneath the “MIX” ****dial you will find the wave selection (you are able to select the wave either by the arrow keys beside the selection, or by clicking into it and selecting your desired option). By default this is set to ‘Sine’, the wave selected will provide the base for how the amplitude will is modulated.
The “BYPASS” button allows you to quickly hear the dry signal of your sound in a single click.
Using the “SHAPE” button will enable the wave-shaping controls. These work on top of the main wave selection to introduce another layer of modulation. Use the wave selection found above the button to select which wave you want to use for the additional wave-shaping (you are able to select the wave either by the arrow keys beside the selection, or by clicking into it and selecting your desired option).
“SHAPE DEPTH” allows you to control the intensity and presence of the wave-shaping modulation. This will alter how much of an effect the wave-shaping waves will have on the overall modulation.
“SHAPE RATE” controls the frequency of the wave-shaping modulation, controlling the amount of wave-shaping waves will be present.
